Training Focus in different environments

February 15th 2021 11:35 CST

Currently I’m stuck in Austin Texas with no food. Flights got canceled last night as well as today and I give it a 50% chance tomorrow will also be canceled and if that happens Wednesday is having another storm lol This is shitty but a good chance to learn how to focus in different environments.

Everything in me right now doesn’t want to work on what I had planned for the week. This is really interesting to me, something I see, feel and am experiencing is affecting my focus.

I’m Hungry and just want to be home so I fixate my attention on that making it hard to get in the zone of work. This is so fucking weak, I’m letting some stupid shit alter the outcome of our business. This needs to be changed. I’m about to clean the room, sit at the desk and get what I need to get done as soon as I get focused I’m going to go downstairs and walk in the snow, come back up and get focused again. As cliche and corny as it sounds I’m starting to really hop on board with the saying of focus is a muscle that needs to be worked out. Each of these focus/distraction cycles will act as a new rep the more I do the stronger I get.

The thing is there’s different parts of the focus muscle and focusing in a different environment is one of them, it also happens to be a part that’s weak.

General update:

This trip I realized I’m thinking waaay tooooo small If we want to make 100 Mill we need to start thinking in terms of 100 Mill which isn’t that far off from where we are but it’s definitely something we need to step up. One area I think that needs to improve is thinking bigger, and having more businesses rolling out. I’m mastering systems and need to start implementing and building them in other areas. As niche businesses and brands keep popping up the power of community is something that will become more and more valuable/powerful. Building community is an area that I would consider myself to be an expert in however, I don’t use this skill and need to. Moving forward we will have more than one project moving forward at the same time.
